About Me
I grew up thinking 5 almonds was a decent snack (...thank you, seventeen magazine).
As a teenager, I played sports after barely eating all day and didn’t understand why I was so tired. I was obsessed with being thin in my teens and this led me to develop unhealthy eating behaviors, crippling anxiety around my weight and obsession with food.
At University, I would head to the gym every morning to do hours of cardio and try to eat as little as possible, and I was NEVER happy with the results. I didn’t really look the way I wanted to look and I didn’t understand what I was doing wrong.
Sound familiar?
It wasn’t until I was introduced to strength training that I started to focus on getting strong and eating to support my training, which, at the time, seemed CRAZY.
Long story short, weightlifting hooked me and I haven’t turned back since. I didn’t have to do hours of cardio anymore and I felt so badass getting stronger and working out with the guys at the gym.
I moved to New York in 2016 and worked at a Crossfit gym and became obsessed with the hustle culture of the city as well as pushing myself hard at the gym. I got competitive, got stronger, became a coach and trained super hard all while working grueling weeks in the gym and full time hours at my corporate job.
I’ve gone through cycles of injuries and burn out from pushing myself too hard. I had to learn the hard way that managing sleep & stress and treating my body well was more important than pushing myself to the limits in the gym annnnnd I did A LOT of therapy to work through my ongoing issues with food (highly recommend!).
I started training clients of my own in 2019 because I loved fitness so much and wanted to help other people discover the magic of strength training without destroying themselves in the gym and without restricting food.
I work with clients who have busy lives, careers, families and goals OUTSIDE of the gym because at the end of the day, that’s what fitness is for. Your life is bigger than your time inside the gym and your fitness should enhance your life.
I’m currently getting my Masters degree in Clinical Nutrition so I can better help my clients navigate complex health issues and I would love to help you get strong, find balance with food & live your best life!
