Take a walk after a meal.
Recent studies have shown that taking a walk (or doing any movement) after eating can benefit blood sugar levels - basically allowing them to rise and fall more gradually.
Why is this important?
After eating, our blood sugar naturally rises, but large spikes or prolonged blood sugar elevation can raise the risk for diabetes and heart disease. Muscles need sugar (i.e. glucose to function) so movement can help us utilise the glucose from a meal more effectively.
